Backstage in the interview area, we find someone who is usually in the locker room or in a shady bar or sitting on a throne of shrimp. Jackson Montgomery. He stands there next to Jim Black ready for the fight to come. He’s done this before. Jackson’s usual fun and dim witted demeanor is sort of replaced by a look of determination.

Jim Black: Jackson. I must say, I’m surprised to see you here in such a structured segment of Wrestlution. Have you thought about what I said on the last Turmoil about your match tonight?

Jackson Montgomery: You hit the nail on the head Jimbo. This is Wrestlution. The fourteenth I’m fact. ‘Ol JackMo has been involved in three Wrestlution matches and let me tell you, they’ve all been barn burners. My very first Wrestlution, Wrestlution 10 where I beat B17 AND Kassidy Hayes to become the Turmoil World Champion. To Wrestlution 11 where I faced off against Dimsmore in the dad fight to end all dad fights in a steel cage. JackMo was victorious there. Wrestlution 12 was my first Future Investment March and guess what? I won that too. While after that match, JackMo squandered the FI briefcase opportunity, I can guarantee you that won’t happen again.

JB: That brings me to this match tonight. You get the opportunity to hold the case again. This time, instead of three other men, you will be fighting against five other men. Mark Reese, Maxx Edwards, Elliott Parker, The Mantis and Alex Asher. A lot of new-ish names. How do you feel being involved here?

JM: I know JackMo messed up a while back and I know what I need to do to get back in the picture. That’s why I wasn’t around for WLXIII. But now I get that opportunity to show my grit, show people that even though I am that laid back, silly, plain dumb redneck sometimes that I can bring the fight and I can get what I want. Now of these men, I’ve only had experience with Asher and we all know how that went. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins the whole thing tonight. The rest of the men and that giant bug are going to get the full force of JackMo.

JB: Again, The Mantis is a man.

JM: We‘ll see.

Jim just lowers and shakes his head. He takes a deep breath and asks Jackson his final question.

JB: Last question and this is a two parter. What happens next for you if you grab the briefcase or if you don’t?

Jackson takes a step back and strokes his beard. As he does a couple shrimp tails fall out onto the floor.

JM: If, WHEN, I hold that briefcase again, JackMo won’t take it lightly. I did that once before and look where it got me. No where! If I don’t win it, then it puts JackMo in a place to better his position here in OCW and crawl my way back to the top, rung by rung. Asher, we will meet again and the outcome will be different. Mantis, I’ve got a big fan of Raid for your creepy ass! Reese, Parker, Elliot, I’m sure our paths will cross down the road. I’ll be ready. I may be drunk or hung over, but I’ll be ready. The south may never rise again, but JACKSON MONTGOMERY WILL!

Jackson turns to walk away but gets his foot caught on a cord running across the floor. Jackson Tripp’s and begins to stumble, pulling the camera and lights down followed by the entire interview area. All of it comes crashing down, trapping Jackson and Jim Black under the vinyl background with the OCW logo across it. At first, there’s no movement. Then, like a cat trying to get out of a paper bag, there is a panic.

JM: Jim! Jim! I’m here buddy. I’ll help you! Follow my voice! I’m coming buddy!

Jim Black, who has already gotten out from underneath the banner, is brushing himself off. He reaches down and flings the banner away to reveal Jackson Montgomery spread eagle and naked for some reason.

JB: Damnit Jackson. How the hell are you naked? You know what? I don’t want to know. Get dressed and get ready for your match!

Jim storms off and leaves Jackson lying on the floor.

You took a gamble at Wrestlution 13 and failed to meet with me before you met up with Drago Cesar.

I’m sure you remember what happened and that’s why you’re here.

You are in The Sin City Las Vegas. Home of Bobby Minio. A place where people risk it all and you didn’t think to gamble this time around Harvey.

Which tells me you have grown.

Something about Tre Golden tells me you need to tread carefully. Your creation of space inside his head could lead to muddy waters for you and possibly those around you.
